Mission

The mission of the Facilities and Construction Department is to transparently and efficiently support parishes in being the best possible stewards of their existing facilities. We accomplish this by supporting and guiding parishes through a broad range of capital improvement and maintenance projects.

Our scope of services typically include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consulting pastors and/or parish committees on capital improvement projects, from preliminary planning through final completion of new buildings, renovations and additions,

  • Assisting parishes through the capital project approval process (CPI process),

  • Supporting parishes as they inspect and maintain their physical facilities,

  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations in addition to resolving outstanding building code and fire code violations,

  • Assisting parishes to participate in energy savings programs and

  • Providing technical assistance to the Real Estate Department and Risk Manager during major loss claims.
